Features: J-Bass Vintage set

The HendriX J-Bass Vintage set is build in the tradition of Fender pickups, with the well known and
appreciated sound of the period end 1950 begin 1960.
This set of pickups is 'scatter" wound and hand guided with Plain Enameled (P.E.) high quality Elektrisola insulated copper wire.

The Plain Enameled wire has an insulation based on oil and gives the pickup that nice vintage look.
Although P.E. insulated wire has exactly the same specification than Grade I isolated copper wire
Musicians still love the look and even feel better if the pickup is wound with P.E. wire.
In spite of engineers at Elektrisola stating that there is no difference at all in the texture of the copper wire itself
it is completely legitimate to use it if the musician feels better in his creative endeavor.

Experienced pickup builders and repair men know that P.E. wire sooner or later breaks, due to the natural (oil) insulation
material, mainly because of corrosion of the magnets inside the pickup. P.E. coils turn up quite frequently in the pickup shop.
To have a very solid reliable coil with Grade I wire but with the P.E. "look", of course in concurrence with the owner
of the pickup, Elektrisola Grade I is used for the functional coil and P.E. is used for the look of the coil.
This way the HendriX J-Bass Vintage pickup set has the best of both worlds!
